You need a pressure cooker for this!

Turn gas on, put pot onto it, crush some garlic, dump it into the pot, add some olive oil, let it fry gently for a minute or so, add chopped tomatoes, some chopped BASIL leaves, maybe some chily peppers, and some concentrated tomato paste and some salt.
Add a pint of water, and half a bag of a bag of pasta, better if smallish type pasta, like pennette or similar (not spaghetti).
Mix well now close lid and turn gas up a little, when pot goes under pressure (it’ll start getting steam out of the thingy) turn gas off, at this point I might shake the pot a little.
Let it rest a bit, when it is possible to open it, do so and mix your pasta, it isn’t cooked yet, it is cooking now, when cold enough to eat it’ll also be cooked.
How much water? Practice makes perfect, it takes me 11 minutes from start to finish.
